Cullberg, Contemporary Dance Company (Stockholm, SWE)
is a choreographer, performer and dancer from Vienna, Austria. As a maker Ida works across independent and Company environments within live performance, film and contemporary theatre. Exploring the body as a medium for engagement with societal dynamics, her works have been shown in contexts ranging from club culture and exhibition spaces to theater festivals. Her artistic interest lies in the reflection of sociopolitical contexts, the questioning of normative structures, and the creation of performative spaces that challenge both individual experience and collective perception.
From September 2023 until June 2024 she joined several projects and tours as an intern with German choreographer Katja Heitmann, performing and facilitating workshops at the Leeds Art Gallery followed by a Dutch tour. 2024/25 Ida did an internship at Cullberg where she worked with choreographers such as Ligia Lewis, Alexandra Bachzetsis and Faye Driscoll. During the time in Stockholm, Ida collaborated with B-Reel Film Production Company and developed the creation 'BuryaK' together with dancer and performer Sofiia Butiaga, which is presented internationally as well as in several Dutch theatres such as Frascati in Amsterdam. Through ‘BuryaK’ and beyond Ida strives to create work that challenges, questions and connects.
